In 2016, Boseman was cast as T'Challa, the King of Wakanda, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Black Panther. The film, released in 2018, was a massive success, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide and becoming a cultural phenomenon. Boseman's performance as the Black Panther earned him widespread praise, and he became a household name. He reprised his role in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Personal Life and Death
Boseman was a private person and kept his personal life out of the spotlight. In 2019, he married his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Simone Ledward. Tragically, on August 28, 2020, Boseman passed away at the age of 43, after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
